It is important for the owner of a new car to make sense of all the included warranties with their car. A bumper-to-bumper warranty, for instance, doesn't mean that every component in the car is guaranteed a free replacement over the next three years. Rather, it means that some internal components like air conditioning, audio and electrical systems can be replaced with no charge during the warranty period. A separate 100,000 mile powertrain warranty means that the engine parts are insured for a few years, and a roadside assistance warranty guarantees a period where they customer can access help an any time for any part of the vehicle. All of these are not incorporated into one warranty, for they are divided out according to what package the customer wants to purchase.
Used car dealers in Utah also promise some kind of warranty, but not all the time. It is not Utah law to sell a used car with a warranty every time, but most dealers will throw ne in as an incentive. These warranties are much more basic and less comprehensive. For instance, a used car warranty may be a 50% off parts and labor for any given part within 30 days of the sale. Also, a used car dealer may have a set of extra parts that can be bought under warranty foe at least a year. Essentially, a Utah used car warranty can encompass the same amount of parts as a new car warranty, but the terms and the length of use are significantly diminished
